APPLICATIONS - ASSETS AND PERSONNEL CONTROL

Personnel Access Control

Securing your facility means more than just controlling access. It's knowing where people are and when they come and go. The ATag System combines access control with the ability to automatically monitor the movements of people throughout your facility.

Unique Features

Automatic Hands-Free Operation - employees simply walk through the door or other portal; no buttons to push or cards to swipe

Flexible Coverage Zone - operates at very short range for door control, or coverage can be expanded across a broad detection zone for monitoring

Multi-Tag Read - instantaneously reads multiple tags across a broad corridor or within secure areas; no need to herd employees through security gates or choke points

Functional Linkage™ - allows employers to both control and monitor access, by linking assets to employees to detect when unauthorized personnel attempt to leave with valuable property

Covert Monitoring - a wide variety of antenna options offer unobtrusive and aesthetically pleasing installation choices; antennas can be hidden in ceilings, walls and even picture frames

Benefits

Security - The ATag System provides a fast, effective means of controlling and tracking personnel movements in and out of secure areas. Tags uniquely identify each person, allowing the access control system to quickly authorize or deny access or detect the presence of unauthorized personnel in the area.

Convenience - The   System operates totally hands-free. Employees need only approach the door for their tag to be recognized and reported to the access controller or monitoring station.

Flexibility - Whether you need convenient hands-free access control or advanced personnel and asset monitoring capabilities, the ATag technology provides a flexible solution for both.

Vehicle Access Control

Active RFID tagging makes vehicle access control and fleet management "automatic" and "hands-free". No proximity cards are required to be presented, enhancing efficiency and convenience. A simple activation antenna placed in the roadway or beside it activates the tag attached to the vehicle as it passes by. The tag transmits its ID to a palm-sized receiver tied to a gate controller for "rolling access", or tied to a network for inventory counts.

Unique Features

Automatic Hands-Free Operation - no buttons to push or cards to swipe

Flexible Coverage Zone - supports single lane or multi-lane configurations

Multi-Tag Read - identifies multiple tagged vehicles across heavy traffic areas

Current Applications

Country Club and Gated Community Access Control - Automatic, hands-free rolling access provides security, throughput, and convenience for members and residents - Pinnacle Country Club - Arkansas.

Campus-wide University Parking Control - Multiple parking lots can be controlled with a single system - Bob Jones University, South Carolina.

Homeland Defense Vehicle Access Control - Provide reliable gate control with the added security of integrated digital video recording - JFK International Airport, New York.

Fleet Route Control & Monitoring - School and city buses can be controlled using gated access plus automatic monitoring of route arrival times by stop - Indiana School District.

Logistics Payload Management - Payloads can be automatically identified, measured and linked to the vehicle and driver by the trip - Pennsylvania Quarry.

Biometric Interface for Added Security - Automatic rolling access with driver biometric validation - U.S. Navy, Smith Marine Base, Hawaii.

Remote Parking Lot Management - Automatic access control with a networked, digital audio/video link for interaction with drivers at the gate including unique features such as remote gate control and recorded drivers license and face - Bell South.

Benefits

Security - As contractors, residents, employees and visitors come and go throughout the day, the ATag System provides a fast, cost-effective means of securing perimeter gates. Unobtrusive, vehicle mounted Active Tags uniquely identify each vehicle, allowing the gate control system to quickly authorize or prevent entry to or exit from secure areas.

Efficiency - Peak traffic demands make it nearly impossible to manually log or screen all vehicle traffic in an accurate and timely manner. Our ATag System instantaneously identifies and logs approaching vehicles, allowing the control system to quickly process and clear authorized vehicles while logging a record of entry or exit.

Convenience - Our ATag System operates totally hands-free. Drivers need not fumble for a card or clicker. There are no buttons to push or codes to remember. The ATag System can also be used to gain access to other areas such as buildings, elevators, clubhouses, fitness rooms, etc. By using a single tag for all applications, your employees and residents will thank you for the added ease and convenience.

Safety - The ATag System is totally automatic, allowing drivers to keep both hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road. Windows stay up, keeping the weather out and occupants comfortable. Late at night, doors and windows remain locked as each vehicle zips through the gate, so no one is unnecessarily exposed to possible danger or harm. Identification occurs in a fraction of a second, minimizing hazardous vehicle queues and unnecessary stops. Clerical work is virtually eliminated, freeing up time for guards to physically tour and secure the premises.

Asset Protection & Management

Today's mobile workforce demands that both people and assets move freely throughout the enterprise. As a result, losses due to missing assets and shrinking inventory continue to skyrocket. According to industry sources, employee theft costs U.S. businesses an average of $30 billion annually and is the primary cause for over 20% of all business failures. We offers patented technologies and systems to combat this ever-growing problem, providing total solutions for asset containment, mobile asset management and asset location and tracking. The ATag system is the perfect solution to keeping track of valuable assets within the walls of any facility whether it's the corporate office, a data center, an educational facility or healthcare complex.

Description

The ATag Asset Management system provides an effective way to reduce theft from both internal and external threats via perimeter-based asset containment. By creating "control point" detection zones at strategic entrance and exit points throughout a facility, tagged items are unable to leave the premises without triggering an immediate alert/alarm notification. Not only does the system provide perimeter protection for the entire facility, but it can also be used within the facility to detect when assets leave certain rooms or specific areas, or enter or leave zones that are designated as off limits, highly classified or secure.

  • Reduce theft from both internal and external threats.
  • Instant alert/alarm notification of assets at entry/exit points.
  • Perimeter protection as well as containment within internal rooms or areas.

Mobile Asset Management

Most difficult to track within any enterprise are the valuable assets that are on the move. Using our flexible "control point" architecture, the ActiveTag system can easily detect and locate mobile assets within the facility. By employing "Functional Linkage", any asset can be assigned to an authorized owner or user to allow one to move freely throughout the enterprise with their assigned asset. However, if an asset is detected without its authorized owner, an alarm event occurs, immediately sending notification of an unauthorized asset movement.

  • Flexible "control point" architecture to detect and locate mobile assets.
  • "Functional Linkage" allows asset to move freely with authorized owner or user.
  • Immediate alarm notification of an unauthorized asset movement.

Asset Location and Tracking

Locating or tracking assets that can be either static or in motion, such as wheelchairs or IV pumps in a healthcare facility, servers in a data center or laptops in a corporation, is no easy task until now. To know where these assets are at all times, the ATag system provides a comprehensive resource for locating and tracking assets, whether on the move or sitting still. The system allows users to instantly determine the general location of a tagged asset anywhere within the facility. Installation of "control point" detection zones at strategic locations throughout the facility allows the user to define logical zones and monitor high traffic areas. Tagged assets moving through these control points provide instant location data. In addition, the system can verify that any asset "functionally linked" is accompanied by its assigned owner or user as it moves through the detection zone, and provide instant notification if the movement is unauthorized. When assets are between control points or inside of zones, beacon signals received from tags on a periodic basis help locate an asset or person within a designated zone or area.

  • Locate and track assets whether on the move or sitting still.
  • Instantly determine the location of a tagged asset anywhere within the facility.
  • Combined "control point" and beacon signaling for maximum coverage.
